Travel like a minimalist

Video by Lefie:

Sustainable Minimalist Living (video)

I could really relate to this video because of a tendency to be anxious and self-judgemental in the past. I've also felt frustration towards people I wanted to change. But I'm learning the best way is to lead by example. The only person I can change is myself, but it turns out that's enough.

The Last Straw: Why We Finally Decided To Lose Weight (Whole Food Plant Based Diet)

I love this couple, and I can really relate to their story. I've lost well over 100 pounds after breaking my arm, going to the hospital and being shocked by how much I weighed. 60 of those pounds were just this year (doesn't look like I'll make my 100 pound New Year's resolution, but it's more important to keep improving then worrying about a deadline). Plant based is the way to go, as far as I'm concerned. Check it out!

And now a word from Jim Carrey ...

I've been kind of wary of Jim Carrey lately, because he's always starring in obviously Illuminati-inspired films. His own name is a Mandela Effect (for me, anyway ... I always remembered it as "Carey"). Then I saw this creepy video where he gives out the Illuminati hand signal on the Jimmy Kimmel show and "mocks" things like mind control. But I loved his performance in the great film "Man on the Moon" where he takes very seriously his role as legendary performance artist Andy Kaufman, to the point of faking his own death. Andy Kaufman knew the world of big media was a scam, and so does Jim Carrey. But this video has a positive message and Jim Carrey has legitimately done some pretty great things in his life, like collecting food for the homeless. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yes vs. No

I just got this from James Clear's newsletter (he sends out little gems like this every Thursday):

When you say no, you are only saying no to one option.

When you say yes, you are saying no to every other option.

No is a decision.

Yes is a responsibility.

My Furniture-Free Minimalist Room | Japanese House Tour

The videos at Heal Your Living are so relaxing and peaceful to watch. I imagine a lot of people would have a hard time living like this lady, but I think it would be a fun challenge to try living like a Zen monk sometime.

What is Intentional Living?

Are the little actions you do every day aligned with how you want your life to go in the long run?
This is from the Break the Twitch channel on youtube, which I highly recommend.

Insane Ways Americans Waste Money | The Financial Diet

Video from the Financial Diet channel. I would also include: cable TV, pharmaceuticals, cigarettes (but that's a global problem ...), storage units, and of course credit cards. Pre-packaged food and high-cost medical care might be convenient, but they're often just not that good.
